Valley Forge Boys Varsity Basketball Team wins 2 out of 3 Independent Games.

The Varsity Boys Basketball Team traveled to North Olmsted High School on December 29th to face the Eagles. The game was hard fought throughout but after a slow start, the Patriots were able to pull away in the second half for a 82-74 victory. Leading scorers for the Patriots were Ryan Olivencia with 21, Connor Maricic with 15, and Joey Browning with 13 points. Sophomore Logan Sasse gave a solid performance and scored 11 points off the bench, including 3- 3 pointers in the first half while things were close.

On January 3rd, the Patriots hosted the Lincoln West Wolverines. The Patriots faced another stubborn foe and had to battle for 4 quarters but they were able to pull away late to secure and win 65-55. Leading Patriot scorers were John Quinones with 17, Joey Browning with 16, and Joey Greer with 13.

On January 9th the Patriots boys hosted the North Royalton Bears for another independent game. Both schools were victims of limited practice time due to bad weather and school closing. Although the Patriots battled hard, they dropped the game 49 to 71. John Quinones lead the Patriots in scoring with 13 and he lead them with his effort. Ryan Olivencia chipped in 11 points and Logan Sasse added 10 points.
