Boys Varsity Golf · Golf Season Preview

The 2019 golf season looks very promising for the Patriots under first year coach Mitch Hartel.  As a whole, the program has a total of 17 golfers, up from 4 the previous year.  The Varsity team is led by Seniors Olivia Nelson, Chase Rieger and Isaac Rankin.  Nelson is the Captain of the golf team, as she exemplifies excellence in the classroom and on the course.  The Varsity team also sees newcomer Danny Przybysz, who has been extremely impressive in his open tee sessions.  Another addition to the Varsity team is Freshmen Michael Jugler.  Jugler has been consistent in his approach to get better everyday, and the team is excited to see his play on the course.  The team also has a set of Varsity Alternates, who will be seeing Varsity golf time this year.  Those alternates include Senior Mali Beyer, Junior Josh Scherler, as well as Freshmen Kaden Zachar and Alex Turko.  The Junior Varsity squad is loaded with newcomers to the game of golf, and is composed of almost all Freshmen.  The future for the program looks extremely bright, and this year will be a great step forward as VF Golf moves toward years of success.
