Girls Varsity Soccer · Patriots Score Early – Cruise to 9-1 Victory over Normandy

The Lady Patriots faced the visitingĀ  Invaders for an exciting Senior Night showdown on Wednesday night. Kelsey Lee fired in the opening shot which was quickly answered by Normandy who tied Valley Forge up early in the first half. From there it was all Valley Forge as they shot in an additional four goals taking a 5-1 lead into halftime. The Lady Patriots came out strong again in the second half getting four more goals before the end of the game and claiming a 9-1 victory. Kelsey Lee finished her night with four goals keeping her first place ranking in the district for scoring and is only two goals shy of leading Ohio. Savannah Zambory claimed an amazing five goals and currently is ranked sixth in our district for scoring. Key assists came in from Lucy Casey, Kelsey Lee, Summer Patsko, Danielle Burdick, and Jenna Sendrey along with three saves by Goalkeeper Natalie Greenwood. The Lady Patriots with face Cleveland Heights at Byers Field Thursday night starting at 5:00.
