Girls Varsity Soccer · Lady Patriots Extend Win Streak to 3

Valley Forge faced visiting Cleveland Heights at Byers Field Thursday night looking for a back to back win after their match with Normandy the night before. The Lady Patriots came out strong launching in five goals in the opening half and holding Cleveland Heights to zero by halftime. As the second half got underway, it was all Valley Forge who scored an additional four goals (one was an own goal by Cleveland Heights) claiming a decisive 8-0 shutout victory at home. Abigail Semenec had two goals followed by Savannah Zambory and Jenna Sendrey who both scored one each. Kelsey Lee launched in three goals and was awarded the own goal which brought her season total to 28 maintaining her first place ranking in the district for scoring and pushed her up to number one in the state. The Lady Patriots will next travel to Fairview Park to take on the Warriors  Tuesday night.
