The Lady Patriots traveled to Fairview Park to take on the Warriors looking to keep their second winning streak of the season alive. Kelsey Lee launched in the opening goal quickly securing a Valley Forge lead which was maintained throughout the first half where the Lady Patriots led the game 2-0 by halftime. As the second half got underway, Valley Forge came out even stronger scoring an amazing 4 goals throughout the second half and only giving up one goal due to a penalty kick securing their 6-1 victory. Kelsey Lee ended her night with four goals followed by Savannah Zambory with two. Key assists came in by Kelsey Lee, Danielle Burdick, Savannah Zambory and Jenna Sendrey along with eighteen saves by goalkeeper Natalie Greenwood. The Lady Patriots will next face North Ridgeville in their season finally at Byers Field Saturday before before hosting face arch-rival Parma on Monday for round one of the OHSAA playoffs. Kelsey Lee, with 32 goals, remains first in our district for goal scoring and ranks first in the state for Division 1.
