Boys Varsity Soccer · Boys Soccer – 2019 Season Recap

The Valley Forge soccer team finished the 2019-2020 season with a record of 6 wins, 11 loses, and 1 tie. The team finished GLC play with a record of 4-3-1 which slotted the team in a tie for fourth place in a tough conference. The start of the season started off slow playing some of the best teams in the area. As the season progressed the team continued to improve both on the practice field and in the games. The boys finished the season on a three-game winning streak which included a victory in the first round of the playoffs. The season ended in the second round of the playoffs to the number one team in the nation St. Ignatius Wildcats. The team will be losing 10 seniors that all will be hard to replace, but the future of the Valley Forge boys’ soccer team has a lot of promise, with a lot of talent at the underclassman level. Coach Marzenski was pleased with how the team battled each day trying to get better both individually and as a collective unit. The team will look to continue to improve during the offseason to have a successful year in 2020-2021.
