The wrestling team competed in two tournaments in December at Lorain and Maple Heights. As a team, the Patriots finished near the bottom of the pack in both events; however, there were some bright spots individually. First-year sophomore Darian Sutton won the consolation bracket at Lorain, and junior Danny Lehman took 5th at Maple Heights. Overall, the team continues to improve. This is the youngest, most inexperienced team Valley Forge has had in more than 10 years. The team is starting five new wrestlers and three freshmen. Several injuries have also hampered the team. Looking ahead, January will be busy as conference matches begin. Overall, the team will be competing in 12 dual matches and two tournaments during the month.
