I am extremely proud to be nominated for Female Athlete of the Year. I have enjoyed my time at Valley Forge, the sports here have shaped me into not only the athlete I am today but the person I am as well. These sports and all of the individuals within them pushed me to be better than I was the day before physically, mentally and most importantly academically.
I have so many great memories I will cherish forever playing both volleyball and softball at Valley Forge. There has been lots of laughter and there has been tears but in the end it’s all been worth it! I am going to miss my teammates, coaches and teachers, I’ve learned so much from all of them.
Being an athlete will translate into my future successes. It has made me work hard both on and off the field, manage my time sucessfully, and work with others as a team. These are all traits that will help me in my future and help shape my character. It has made me work extremely hard for the one goal I have been dreaming about for many years and that was to play college level softball.
I have committed to Notre Dame College of Ohio to play Divsion II softball. I will be Majoring in Special Education, and minoring in Psychology. I will take much of what I have learned from Valley Forge and integrate that into my college experience both on and off the field. I will continue to work hard both academically and physically and will bring a little piece of Valley Forge with me! Hopefully one day I can come back and assist in some of the sports programs as well at Valley Forge. Go Patriots!
