Girls Varsity Soccer · Strong Second Half Propels The Patriots To Victory

Thursday 10/15,

The Lady Patriots traveled to Holy Name high school to play the Green Wave. After a 0-0 halftime score, Valley Forge scored three goals in the second half to win. Summer Patsko and Allie Golaboff padded their goal scoring season with one score each. Savannah Zambory was kept off the score sheet but she found a way to contribute to the offense by setting up Allie with a beautiful through ball assist and a second assist to Summer. Additionally, Nina Nedeljkovic scored her first goal of the season. Natalie Greenwood made a couple big time saves that kept the Wave off the scoreboard. Katie Kraguljac, Bailey Kennedy, Alyssa Manas, and Nedeljkovic yet again seemed unbeatable in the backfield. The Lady Patriots play North Olmsted for the second time this season in a grudge rematch on Saturday (10/17) at Byers Field, kickoff is at 11:15 AM. Should the girls win on Saturday- the team would finish 7-7-2 making this the second straight season the team finishes at or above a .500 winning percentage.
