The Boys Basketball team traveled to Fairview looking to avenge a 75-69 loss on Dec 4. The Patriots would start fast opening the game on 6-0 run. The teams would trade baskets throughout the first quarter. Early in the second quarter Fairview scored on 5 consecutive possessions forcing coach Bokoch to call time out. The team made a quick defensive adjustment and forced two turnovers which led to 4 points and a tied game at halftime 30-30. The Patriots started the third quarter fast outrunning the Warriors opening a 12 point lead to enter the fourth quarter. Timely defensive stops and clutch shooting held Fairview in check giving the Patriots a 68-60 victory. Leading the team in scoring was Senior Tyler Quinones with 20 points. Also contributing to the win were Junior Trell Marks (15 points), Chris Sledge (12 Points), Izzy Santiago (7 points), Randall Fields (5 points), and Tyler Dickerson (4 points). Coach Bokoch was pleased with his teams effort: “We played like a team tonight. We shared the ball and helped on defense. I liked the effort and energy of our team tonight. ” The Patriots travel to rival Parma Senior Friday night. Tip time 7:30.
