Boys Varsity Basketball · Patriots 61 Bucks 55

Feb 19,

The Valley Forge Boys Basketball team traveled to Buckeye Friday looking to avenge a last second loss to the Bucks early this season. The Bucks jumped out to a quick lead by hitting three 3 pointers in the first quarter. The Patriots would crawl back with stingy defense and clutch shooting to tie the game at halftime.  The Patriots started fast after the break opening up a nine point lead in the third quarter. Steady guard play enabled Patriots to keep the lead and control the game until the final buzzer.  Kentrell Marks led all scorers with 17 points. Also contributing to the win: Chris Sledge 16 points / 8 rebounds, Norman Pomales 8 pts, Randall Fields 7 pts, Tyler Quinones 6 pts / 11 rebounds,  Tyler Dickerson 4 pts, and Davion See 3 pts. Coach Bokoch after the game – “Our confidence is growing. I like the way we shared the ball tonight. When you’re unselfish good things happen”. The Patriots have won 4 of their last 5 games. The team  travels to North Royalton tomorrow.
